The Inhuman Act

It’s not that Amanat’s is the first case of its kind. Randomly pick a newspaper, flip the pages, skim through, and you’ll find the black letter ‘rape’ inscribed therein. The most under-reported crime is so high on stats that every 54 minutes the heinous act is committed in India (as on records, omitting the off-record ones).
The protests, candle marches, debates and opposition accusing the ruling parties – all this would probably flash away and become just a prominent media history – unless the douche bags (pardon me for using the word, but they deserve no less) are severely tried  Live example is right here. The 23 year old was victimized on December 16 (Sunday). This was in news few hours later with loud protests all over. The very next day (on Monday) a three-year-old was raped in the same city. Two days later(Wednesday), another teen was gang raped in Bhubaneswar (there are definitely many others, but not in news). Not that the assaulter in each of the last two cases wasn’t aware of the former hooligans. Not that the police wasn’t alert on Monday or later. But the incident still happened.

The question here is, have the dark clouds overheaded the conscience so badly that just for the sake of momentary pleasure or grudge/anger outburst, the humanity within is murdered? This loathful act causes a permanent tarnish. The physical and mental bruise cannot be healed ever.

Keeping in view our future, the assaulters should be so harshly chastised that the days to come become less scary for the vulnerable sex. Let us pray for those who became the preys of inhumanity. Let us also pray for a better tomorrow of our world. It is never a delight writing such news or speaking about such an event. Let's protest and appeal our government to make stringent rule to punish the miscreants in harshest imaginable ways that compel the offenders regret about their act each second.

Over to the legislation that is supposed to be our savior..

They say GROW UP when they mean GROW YOUNG

Ever seen a toddler giggling with his heart out? Nothing can be more soothing than his laughter and nothing can be truer than his innocent tears.

Ever experienced the life-enriching feeling when an unknown child looks at you in a crowd and gives you a hearty smile? The child doesn't know the art of concealing his feelings. That makes him dearer and more charming.

This is how God created each of us with innocence, purity and truth. But as we grew, we wrapped the gift with ego and masked our beautiful faces with artificialism.

"Growing up" is synonymous to being yourself - simple & pure. It's understanding the essence of life in small and beautiful moments. Growing up is taking life easy just like a child does. He doesn't carry the burden of hard feelings to the next day. Growing up is being spontaneous - If you love someone, express it. If you hate an act, say it.

You would be thinking, what if I feel like slapping someone hard or bursting out my anger without giving a second thought as that would probably be a spontaneous act ? Would that be appropriate ? The answer would be an obvious No. Because growing up gives us a natural sense of wisdom, maturity and tactfulness. These should be reflected in parallel when our true self is manifested.

So if you haven't grown up yet, close your eyes and see the child in you. You'll find, growing up is the easiest and the most amazing experience of life !!

The Mighty Flare Deep Within

Let the eyes of peerless you
Be the door to your candid dream
With truth in heart and a firm belief
Set on the sail in the ocean stream

Time may be good or bad for sure
What matters is your strength up there
Just dive in deep in chilliest of air
But never let dim the mighty flare!

In a Moonlight

It is a twilight
Quiet and calm
I see the moon
Sprinkling the charm

I'm sitting back
In a tranquil space
Thinking of the
Mysterious face

The face that's hidden
The face that's dear
The face that's far
But still so near

The air that tickles
And whispers away
Teases and says
He'l soon come this way

I gaze at the moon
And quietly smile
At my silly heart picturing
Him "Mooning" the same while

My heart pounds hard
To flow with his beat
And make my soul
Get the charmest feat !!

A Dreadful Flight!!

While I was lost in beauty of the wing flaps swinging against the wind passing through, a voice interrupted. It was the pilot in command on mic. “Due to insufficient fuel in tank, we are having to do an emergency landing. Passengers are requested to fasten their seat belts. Do not panic as our aircrew members would make sure that we land safely.”

Suddenly the left wing started rising high. The flight was bending to one side. My heart started pounding hard. Adding to our anxiety and thrill, the aircraft started giving jolts. The air was filled with brouhaha. Everyone was pale and stressed. The old ladies and kids started screaming in fear. I looked outside the window again. It seemed that the left and right wings were playing see-saw pivoting the helpless passengers. A shrieking beep emerged from the mic. It was the captain this time with an Italian accent. “We can see the passengers getting scared, which is quite natural at this time. We request you to keep calm and have patience. We are trying the best we can to land safely without any harm.”

I looked outside again. We were flying above the clouds at a great height. No trace of land. The sun was right at our left. The flight suddenly started getting jerks as if it were running on a corrugated runway. My heart was pounding in sync with the jolts. But the worst was still to come. With a regular dance of left and right bends, the plane started falling. Probably there was no enough fuel even to reach the nearest runway. This time the men too joined the screams. I could feel a strand of sweat trickling down my forehead. I could sense my heartbeat top in my skull. I felt like throwing up. I closed my eyes tight and gave up completely.

The airplane was freefalling now. My eyes opened by default. I started cursing the gravitational force for being there. Tearing the clouds apart, our airplane was claiming to be the highest free-fall ride ever.  Now I could see a dense green forest under us. It was coming closer each millisecond. Only God knew what was next. The aircrew members had hibernated in the cockpit. Back there in my subconscious mind, the writer in me was getting prepared to blog this dreadful experience if we are saved.

The trees were tall. Finally our flight was going to come to an end. Our airplane chose a wide and dense tree to end this trauma. Tearing apart the tree with an enormous noise, our air carrier slipped down the branches, when someone threw a glass of water over my face. I opened my eyes and saw myself surrounded by people. I couldn’t understand what’s going on. All heads were staring hard at me. I was lying down. All were strangers to me. I looked around to find the co-passengers and the airplane I was in, but didn’t find any. I closed my eyes tight and opened to recollect what had happened. Suddenly I heard a familiar voice. It was my friend sitting beside me. “Have some water. You’ll feel better.” She helped me sit up.

“See I told you not to give away your blood, you didn’t listen. Now see you fainted!!” . Only then I realized it was only a dream. There was no plane, no air crash, nothing. Just a nightmare!!
Actually I had donated my blood in a blood donation camp held recently. But probably my body couldn’t bear the sudden blood loss. So I had lost my consciousness for a while. But the thrilling air crash experience it gave without an actual flight is worth penning down!! Someone gave me glucose water and some sweets to energize me. I sipped the sweet water and slipped away with a slant smile !!
